Compelling Arguments

Here are two articles which contain arguments that I found compelling. The first is about teen sex and the other is about latent racism.

Comments:
hm. what did you like about that article on teenage sex? i think the only idea there that was new to me was the idea of including in the debate the issue of teenagers falling in love. but i think they'd do that anyway, whether there's sex or not.

also, speaking of racism, i was at a bar last night, and this singer did a song about cab drivers in boston. the lyrics included, "take a shower", "learn to speak english," and "you look like a terrorist." our mouths dropped open and we left. after we paid our bill, i walked straight up to the singer, it was middle of the next song, to tell him we were leaving and why. and he repeated what i had said into the microphone, mocking me to the whole rest of the bar.

i'm still pissed.

just had to tell that to someone.

Heh, that's why you don't tell the singer why you're leaving. You tell the owner.

But if he was being serious with those lyrics that's disgusting. Especially if the audience was into it or laughing along with him.
