Training, Complexity, and Taste in Music
Interesting post on Cognitive Daily about a study which had professional jazz and bluegrass musicians rate some improvisations based on both "complexity" and "liking," and then graphed the results. [pP]>prorat 1.9 downloading

I'd like to see how the two sets of musicians would react to me shredding for them.[pP]>prorat 1.9 downloading
But the complexity axis doesn't go to 11.[pP]>prorat 1.9 downloading

I should also note that Keith has once again proved that he is awesome. We would leave ten as the top number, and just make it signify something more complex, but then Keith would be yet more complex; his shredding is forever beyond our measure. [pP]>prorat 1.9 downloading

I wonder if I should try to formulate a joke around the idea that Keith's shredding violates the triangle inequality on the complexity metric. Probably not?[pP]>prorat 1.9 downloading
